Just setup eyefinity, how do I make my center monitor the primary? - Page 2

Now this I'm interested in. As it's a pain in the backside changing to extended desktop then having to recreate an Eyefinity group manually all the time.

How do you do this?

Ok, I will include everything in this one post. Eyefinity Group, game settings et al. See which one you need then create a profile for each.

  • Step 1: Go in CCC 3D settings to set your settings for your specific game. Example "X" then save your preset as "X".

  • Step 2 : Go in Preferences and go into Standard view to apply your other preferences in the other menus, example: Overdrive/colors/Eyefinity etc, but don't alter the 3D as your already did this step previously. DO NOT SAVE.

  • Step 3: Once all your preferences are done for your "X" game. Click Start at the top of CCC to select Preset. Click "add preset" and save it to the same name you did in Advanced mode "X". When prompted to overwrite, select "Yes".

Now your 3D/Eyefinity settings will be applied and your custom Overdrive settings also when you select a specified preset for a game or whatever you need.

Go to verify the profile in C:\xxxx\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles\ if all there, you can go back into Advanced Mode to click on your presets and they will now work. (You will need to show hidden to access this folder).

I just use windows key + P to switch between duplicate displays (eyefinity) and extended displays (triple monitor w/start bar in middle).

I'm currently on CCC 11.10, and there's no Profiles in CCC. Do I need to update to a newer version? Also, how do I go from Extended to Eyefinity with a simple hotkey? I literally have no idea what I'm doing, ha.

The profile is the one we create and it will in the preset. To set it up, follow post #12.

Okay, so basically, just set my game to Full Screen on my middle monitor, and then start with Step 1 in your post # 12? Cause right now, if I full screen with eyefinity portrait in League of Legends, it only makes my center monitor appear, but makes the other two black.

No, you don't have to open up the game to create the profile.

For example the X = BF3 and Profile shortcut key = Alt + B or Windows button + B.

In this BF3 preset you have set Eyefinity and game 3D settings such as AA level et al.

When you want to play BF3 with the preset Profile X, simply activate it by pressing the short cut key above then fire up BF3.

To toggle the preset profile to default, simply press once again the same key above.

Oh, that's awesome! I'll follow your post #12 in a bit, I'll report back if I have any issues / to let you know how things went.
