Doom 3 Demo Question

Thread Starter
I've beat the game 2 years ago but now that I have a slightly better PC, I am wondering if I can run the game on Ultra setting (before used to be High). So my question is: Does the Doom 3 Demo support Ultra settings? Or just High? I can't seem to find my original disks and even if I do, they take up too much space.

I don't think your hardware that I see listed is well suited for Ultra mode. The only difference between Ultra and High is that Ultra uses uncompressed textures. It therefore needs a 512MB video card. But really, you shouldn't expect to see much difference between the two modes.

Okay, I found my Doom 3 disks again and did a complete reinstallation of the full game, and set everything to max including Ultra Quality and 2xAA, 1280x1024 no vsync. The timedemo showed an average of 62.7 fps for my PC with Ultra quality, not bad eh?
