E6600 PC up and running :D

Thread Starter
I just got my pc up and running i have a small question. My ram is running at 333mhz (5400) while it should be at (6400) and timing should be faster. How can i overclock the memory to its original stock speeds ?

Get in BIOS and set it at a frequency you desire. If the board gives you the option of external frequencies (200, 266, 333, 400), then pick 400. If it gives the actual DDR2 frequencies (400, 533, 667, 800), then pick 800. Also, you can set timings manually.

However, when you start overclocking your CPU, you should knock your RAM speed back, since these speeds are with the CPU at stock (FSB = 266). When yuo increase your FSB, the RAM speed will go up with it.
