I have about 125$ burning a hole in my pocket after christmas, I didn't get enough $$ to upgrade my mobo/cpu this holiday season, so I'm thinking about a SSD.

From the Sean's Guides, it seems that the OCZ Agility 3 from Newegg @ 85$ is a steal (ranked as 5th in the 100-150$ bracket).

But is it worth paying the extra money to get, say, a Corsair Force GT (ranked 3rd in 100-150$ bracket) @ 115?

Basically, I'm asking if I should jump all over that cheap Agility 3 and say screw the rankings, or fork over another 30 dollars for a better SSD?

There have been better deals. Personally, I would just save up for a 120/128GB SSD or those upgrades you were planning on doing.
You honestly aren't missing too much.

Agility 3 is a decent drive. It doesn't handle media files like movies, music etc nearly as well as the Corsair GT would.

I'd wait for a deal on the Crucial m4 myself. I have a Vertex 3 and a M4 and I'd buy the m4 again in a heartbeat.

SSD is the best upgrade you can do for your computer. You will feel the difference. Not even a new processor will feel as fast as the hdd to ssd upgrade.

I've decided to not jump on that Agility 3 deal, but I'm going to bide my time until a deal pops up on the Crucial M4.

Will the HDD -> SSD jump really be more noticeable in everyday tasks, than a new motherboard+cpu?
