i7 860 Needing a lot of voltage...

Hi All

Pretty new to this but I have been reading around for a while. I am trying to get my i7 860 to 4Ghz for a 24/7 overclock on a Gigabyte P55-UD4P but it seems to be needing a lot of voltage to reach 4 Ghz.

At first I tried 3.8Ghz with the following settings:

Hyper Threading Enabled
All power saving disabled.
Clock Ratio: 20X
QPI Ratio: x32
Clock: 190
Memory: 8.0
Vore: 1.3500
QPI/Vtt: 1.3500
Ram: 1.640

This seemed to run fine so I tried 4Ghz.

The only way I could get 4Ghz to run stable was with the following settings:

Hyper Threading Enabled
All power saving disabled.
Clock Ratio: 20X
QPI Ratio: x32
Clock: 200
Memory: 8.0
Vore: 1.44375
QPI/Vtt: 1.430
PCH: 1.120
PLL: 1.1880
Ram: 1.640

I am now worried that I pumped too much voltage through to try and get it stable at 4Ghz, realizing now that I had exceeded the 1.4V limit on QPI/Vtt (I had this as high as 1.5V when trying to get the 4Ghz clock stable).

The temperatures have been fine, I am using a Corsair H100 with the max temperatures running Prime95 on the cores at 4Ghz at 75-74-75-76 .

If I could grab some advice on what’s needed to get the voltages stable at 4Ghz, that would be great. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you don't want max temps above 60c as for voltages, from my limited experience it sounds like a wall for your cpu and you hit the max
