Hello guys

I format a lot of drives and doing it with the right clicks from my computer when the disk already has a FS or when the data is unallocated I use computer manager (too many clicks!) so I thought I'd create CMD batchfile.

This is what I came up with:
Code:
@echo off
 Echo Warning this will reformat the entire E: disk!
PAUSE
 format E: /FS:NTFS -F /Q

This only formats/creates a new NTFS FS if the drive already has a name and FS, but is it possible to make it create a new FS on a blank/unallocated drive? I would also like it to ask me for name as I name each drive differently, so like "Type in name for volume to continue...:" for example. The code for adding a volume label is "/V:label" but I'm not so good with CMD so thas why I've asked for your help tongue.gif

Thanks for reading!
