I agree with your advice for whomever may read this. When I first sat down for the A+ I was extremely nervous and I remember the first few questions I just stared at them in a dazed and confused manner thinking "is this for real?"
I think it got easier because some of the early questions were somewhat easy and then I became relaxed, but some of them truly were harder than I had expected. I mean, I suppose they should be though. wink.gif
To your comment about doing great...I wish. I have a tendency to complain quite a bit about being 24 without a computer degree (I have a degree in Business redface.gif) and I am struggling to make ends meet with this new career choice. People tell me it will come with time but man am I impatient. I just want someone to hand me a decent network job on a silver platter! Don't we all. rolleyes.gif
I have work the day of the exam and I will be leaving right from work to take the exam, but I will bring an apple with me in the car and I will probably take the last hour of work to review some stuff. Any reason why I shouldn't be looking at practice exams before the actual test?
I'm still nervous!

You'll get there. Im 22 and 6 months ago I made the jump upto 3rd line infrastructure support. Stick out from the crowd and you'll end up progressing quickly. Remember, qualifications aren't the be all and end all. On a CV, experience counts for so much more.

The reason I say don't look at practice exams right before your exam is because you need to give your brain a little rest and let it all soak in. Its the same for everything really... If you hammer it then you get tired of it and loose concentration.

Thanks all. smile.gif

Test is tomorrow so I'm quite nervous. I'm using today (at work, hehe) to do all the ProProfs exams. Tonight I will check all the Mike Meyer's questions in the book and then I will do all 10 of the Total Seminar exams that came with the voucher (paid for, of course).

Tomorrow I will probably be too nervous to not practice, but completely honestly there are no more questions for me to answer after that point.

I have been going on ExamCompass lately and honestly I am quite nervous taking those exams. They don't show me the answer immediately so I am never sure of whether or not it is correct or incorrect. I suppose this is good and bad. Has anyone ever used ExamCompass and would you recommend their practice exams?

Is that really the term you were looking for? Although, it would still be sound advice as it stands smile.gif

@Xinox: Haha. We have a Five Guys here too. My girlfriend and I love it there! However I had to go straight from work, so I only had time for a banana, a Sweet and Salty bar, and a Red Bull.

@racer: No, I never saw Professor Messer's stuff until now! Good find though. smile.gif

Sooooo, check out my sig. biggrin.gif

Let me say this...it was actually incredibly hard in my opinion. Almost all of the answers I could reason for another answer or for why something may or may not be an answer. I flagged about 30 items and didn't answer about 5 until I went back. Some of them I was just like F it. I think you need about an 80 to pass, so I was quite nervous.

Halfway through the test I was extremely angry as I wasn't coming across any questions that there was a crystal clear "that's the answer" type.

Somehow though I pulled it out. I actually did way better than I had expected, unless the moderator thought I was cute and changed my score for me. When I saw "You passed. Congratulations!" my jaw dropped... I mean the questions were hard. I know my stuff and it just seemed a little too broad on some of the questions.

Nonetheless, I'm done and I'm stoked! Time to move on to Security+! biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Thanks for all the support everyone!

WHAT WAS YOUR SCORE?! ... Sorry I tried not to let my suspense out.

I want to see if you bested my score. biggrin.gif
