[LR] Rumor: Ivy Bridge overclocks to 6GHz on an H100 equivalent - Page 6

Well we'll have to see I know for fact that blck overclocking is back on SB-E at least upto 167 (that's what my manual says anyway). If it just does 5 on lower voltage I'd be glad. And who was that who said they got 5Ghz on 1.38v...pm me your OC settings lol because my 2500k wont even think about lower that 1.46v mad.gif

I just only hoping for a stable 5ghz, as 2500k's seem to be an average of 4.7-4.8 ghz maxed on H100's apart from a few 'golden' chips of course...

Can't wait to see what these have to offer as I am patiently waiting for this newer 22nm generation... Will be selling this 6 core soon...

Wow, that would be incredible! One of these clocked to 6ghz would be a nice upgrade from my Phenom 2 x4, I daresay. Guess I'll have to start gathering funds for a custom watercooling loop now, too.biggrin.gif

But the main differences between Z68 and Z77 is Native USB 3 and PCIe Gen. 3.. Now why would that be an advantage in OCing?

yeah, especially with the kind of temps we've been seeing from IB samples... I'm still hoping to see nice 24/7 OCing as well but I think the chips will just be a treat for LN2/DICE users.

Dont bother, anything under 1.4V is a lie most of the times, with LLC loose. From >10samples I had, none did STABLE / Benchable 5ghz at anything under 1.45V.
