It's like complaining that the underside of a computer case doesn't look classy enough.

Now.

Who wants to buy me a 7970 and one of these blocks so I can play some Battlefi...errr bench?

Eventually. Not sure why but Aquacomputer's nickel-plated GPU blocks always take a while to come out.

I think it looks cool but I don't like the aqua logo. Just make it ATI 7970 or nothing.

Why wouldn't people care about how the waterblock looks? One big point of watercooling for many, particularly now when stuff is no longer threatening to burst into flame if not cooled well, is to make things look good.

Do you have your computer on a rotating platform with a spotlight shining up on it in the entry way to your house for all to see? The only time I look into my computer is when I am adding/removing stuff. As a matter of fact, the less visible the computer the better. My computer is hidden away in a different room eliminating all the heat and noise at my workstation. Having a silent workstation that is just a monitor and keyboard/mouse is awesome.

I always laugh at people that complain about PCB colors and the color of the wiring looms. I couldn't think of anything more inconsequential when it comes to building a power-rig.

If I'm blowing 500+ dollars on watercooling alone, then probably dumping another $2000+ on a performance pc, the last thing I want to do is hide it away for no one to see. I'm proud of my investments and enjoy showing them off. It's not exactly hard to make a quiet pc with quality parts too.

This is your opinion, just because you have your computer hidden in another room and you care less about the looks, does not mean everyone has to... go away, we like looking at our computers..

and this thread is about the AquagrATI 7970 block, not about callsignvega thinks looks are insignificant in a rig thread..

The Aqua logo is not really visible since it will face downward towards your case, even with a open panel, the most you'll be starting at is the top side of your block and the bridge if you are using multi graphic setup..

unless you are using a MM case or a Silverstone TJ series.. but then still, not really visible, I don't mind the logo really, it's laser etched and it actually looks good, better than bitspower, they have their logo plastered on half of the block...smile.gif

As long as this block performs like their previous one, look is not important.
