UPDATES!!!

ok so i know i said my buddy was coming to town to help me out.
well he came to town, but for the most part we ended up drinking ourselves stupid and played the living hell outa Saints Row 2 biggrin.gif

Although, the first day he got here, we got a good bit of planning done and he brought his jig saw (which i do not have)

so anyways...here they are:

I got crazy lucky on how well these bays fit

These aren't going to be what is in the bay, i just wanted to show that the bays come out flush with the side panel smile.gif

Here's the motherboard tray.
this will be mounted using different material, i just did this to get the measurements down:

it looks crooked here but it isn't, i'm using my phone camera and the angle must be weird...

i think i'm going to flip this around...my buddy and i had an idea for it but i think im gunna go back to the original idea.
not only does the PCI slot support stick out a lot; my ROG heat sink is upside down frown.gif
i tried flipping it but it doesn't line up....
if i decide to keep it this way, i will prolly drill out new holes so i can turn the ROG sink over biggrin.gif

And here's some random shots:

So that's it for now but i'm hoping to get the drive bays and radiators mounted, get the mesh filter in the open hole on the right side panel, and get the acrylic door mounts made by the end of the week.

my wallet is running on fumes at this point...lost my car keys and had to pay $304 for a new key (bastards!)

Anyways....my GPU and CPU blocks get here today and tomorrow so i'll get some pics of those when i can biggrin.gif
in the mean time, hope you enjoyed the pics cheers.gif

i won't be using wood for the mounts
i'll be switching to a mixture of clear and black acrylic
it's just more expensive to screw up acrylic than wood,
so i'm doing a full scale mock up before i blow my bank smile.gif

More Updates!

So last night i banged out a few things:
- mesh filter for rads
- fully mounted HDD Bay and 5.25" Bay
- installed EK block onto MoBo
- Flipped MoBo tray around
- cut out locks for PCI quick disconnects

unfortunately i was so into the project i kept forgetting to take pics
i will have more pics tomorrow or later tonight to show the MoBo and PCI locks

anyways, here's what i got:

IT"S HERE!!!!
sorry, i was wayyy too excited to take pics of the unboxing and such, so here it is on the MoBo.

i added a peice of wood to block where the wires will be.
eventually this will be black acrylic as well as the wood between the 5.25 bay and the HDD bay

These mounts were actually 1 1/2 inch L brackets but i took the dremel to them gunner.gif

i flipped the mother board tray the other day and figured i put up a pic of how it turned out

i cut out holes here so that i can move the TV back further.
i'm giving myself extra room for the acrylic.
at the point that i'm at now, i should get a perfect 40 degree field of view (which is perfect for me)
