And HWmonitor displayed the same temp as asus AI Suite and please correct me if I'm wrong but I agree with core temp. I left my window open today so it's cold in my room, and my ambient is 22, and displaying 43c seems incorrect to me. But please I'm here for help so if you think my cpu temp readings are more accurate than coretemo let me know

Sorry if I'm repeating someone, but I didn't see it mentioned. CPU temp in apps like HWMon is the CPU SOCKET temp. Core temps are well, core temps. Socket temp can be 10C+ higher than core temps as the socket doesn't have the same level of cooling the cores have. I recommend mounting a fan to the back of your motherboard, blowing air onto the mounting bracket to see the difference.

That cleared things up thanks. My core temp now is 18c. I just booted computer up and took off overclock, and put my fans to the max. CPU temp is at 34c. My only fear for this whole thread was the risk of overheating causing my cpu to die. Core temp has given me peace of mind.
