So if the 24" monitor is at 1920x1080, you'll get much better performance than lets say 3 monitors running at 5760*1080

I agree. My eyefinity setup is ****. I barely see half of the side screens and I'm running 21.5" LG monitors and in a proper game when you're focusing on fine-aim you lose your peripheral vision. I also sit ~1.2m from the center monitor. I'm saving for a 27" 16:9 monitor, and I'll get an LG IPS 23" on the side for normal browsing/video/ultraintensivegamingwhereIneedmoreFPS.

I have the same issue, i am new to this site so i don't even know if what I am doing is correct.

I currently just built a monster gaming machine, 16GB Ram, amazing motherboard cant remember the specs. but most importantly the GPU is a Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3GB. It is an amazing graphics card and one of the most up to date. the issue is I would love a 24" LED 1080p HD X3 eyefinity set up because all i do is game and graphic design. BUT as i run everything atm on max and love it, I do not want to have to kill some of the quality and lower it due to having 3 monitors. the card was very expensive so it should be fine? and i do not want to buy a another card due to its price. OR would it be better just to get a 32" LED 3D TV 1080p HD as a monitor.

PLEASE HELP!!!! smile.gif

^Depends on what games you play, for me one 7970 was not enough unless you want to play BF3 on medium setting (maybe high but definitely not ultra).

For me, I would advice you to never use TV as your primary monitor, the input lag is horrible and the image quality is not that great.

Tell me what games you play I will test them if I have them...

=====

Op, I would say get a good Ips monitor or 120hz and don't stay with 20inch monitors as I find them small.

Personally I'd rather have one big 1440p or 1600p 27" or 30" screen as I find that the bezels of the monitors kill the immersion.

Eh it's personal preference. I am using 3 22" 1680x1050 monitors, total 5040x1080. I love it. civ5 looks great , racing games feel right in cockpit mode. I really enjoyed vehicles in bf3. I also noticed in shooters that eyefinity works with properly I feel like i have an advantage, real or not i like that feeling. I have no issues running game like farcry3 on max at this res. I am running one 7950 with no hick ups that i can notice. had intended on selling this card for a 7970 but just decide to get a second 7950 for the new pc i am building and crossfire up. most of the game i play work well with it. Also sapphire makes a cheap adapter that works for mini display ports http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814999034. All that said i do love playing games on my big screen tv and htpc, but usually the controller based ones. also any game that doesn't run at that rez will run normal rez on all 3 screens,
