Is my gtx 470 the 3 year old card and gtx 570 is only 2 years old?

GTX 470 is 3 and 570 is 2 but yeah, it seems poor optimization or the game is THAT DEMANDING ON GPU. I mean the consoles struggle to play it on med to low settings I hear its only fair we struggle at High to Ultra. I disabled the AA and Vsync and set shadows to medium, everything else is at their highest value

I am proud of the GTX 470 is still chuggin along at a demanding 1440p. Definitely do not regret buying it last summer to replace my again 4850. I waiting for next gen games to do a proper upgrade

It was posted on the 2k forums, and has some tweaks you can try. It talks about the stuttering, and as others have mentioned in this thread, you can try disabling the frame lock and use the control panel for vsync.

I disabled vsync and it didn't make any difference. I'm on a 470 though

Here's the post on the wiki regarding the stuttering:
(I haven't tried anything yet; won't be able to till this evening, but some are reporting improvements on the forums)

1. Navigate to %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Games\BioShock Infinite\XGame\Config\.
2. Locate and open file XEngine.ini in text editor (notepad for example).
3. Locate section MemoryPools and change values to 1024.
4. Locate lines MinSmoothedFrameRate= and MaxSmoothedFrameRate= and change values to 59 for Min and 61 for Max.

is this like a continuation sequel? I bought but never played the first 2. Can I jump in and play this without losing to much of the story?
