What are you getting?
I forgot to mention, this is at "Ultra" at 1080.

I'm on an Amd Phenom II x4 965 3.4ghz cpu which is a budget gamers processor now adays only going for about 100 bucks, and isn't gtx 670 a lot better than a gtx 570?

You know something, I'm starting to notice a trend here. It seems that ati card are once again dominating the nvidia cards. Didn't ATI work with this game developer too? tongue.gif

670 is better fore sure, but it's not an insane jump by any imagination but it is a boost.

and yes this is an amd game. didn't you see giant logo when starting it lol. amd is getting more titles under their belt to compete with nvidia's meant to be played games. same thing all marketing, but that's why we just got beta drivers for nvidia a day before release

What is that Nvidia Physx logo at the start too? Is it using any Nvidia Physx feature or is that logo bs?

Yeah, and I haven't seen one person with a 7950/7970 complaining about performance issues either. Nvidia is really letting ATI ruin them lately. When people with a GTX 680 are complaining about performance issues, then you know you have a problem with the game and graphics card. Isn't a GTX 680 more powerful than a 7970, well atleast it's suppose to be but I bet it's not in this game or in Tomb Raider. biggrin.gif

nvidia is still #1 with largest install base and make more money. amd just finally starting to become competitive again. they just need to get their act together on cpus.

Well there about to lose me as a Customer if they keep letting ATI buy off Developers to only work with their graphics cards this much better. I'm thinking about going with ATI for my next graphics card because their cheaper and now their graphics cards are doing better in games because they're paying the Developers to make their graphics cards work better with the games. While Nvidia's cheap butthole is just sitting back and expecting us to support them like fools. biggrin.gif

Lol AMD is not competitive?

Explains the 7970.

Well it appears you're not running any type of vsync, correct? I have vsync disabled in-game and enabled through the Nvidia control panel. I'm running everything on Ultra except shadows and post processing and getting 60fps with occasional dips as low as 44fps. Like I said before, these dips usually happen when you are nearing a new location on the map. For instance in the town if I go over to the young lady offering me a potion, I'll have a dip in fps. If I exit the town and head towards the stairs, again I'll see a dip in fps. It's nothing severe, but noticeable to me.

Yep. Right around the 32:30 mark you can see the significant FPS drop that I was talking about. Must have something to do with loading the next map/area beyond the gates.
