And I thought it was only Nvidia Cards? You're getting stuttering too and the 7950/7970 were developed with this game?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Wow people are complaining about the ending saying they were confused and that it didn't end happily ever after.

Definitely is when the newest graphics cards for ATI are even running into problems, as well as the 680/670 for Nvidia. I must say, this is quite embarrassing for 2k to release a game like this. Is the game really that demanding on the so called graphics or did 2k like you suggest poorly optimize this game? I haven't even played much of it, waiting to see if I can solve problems with the frame stutters. Feel like starting the game over(not too far into it), because that is how much the stutters have ruined the gaming experience.

edit: does anyone know if any decision you make in the game affect the outcome of the game, such as a good and evil ending? I was good when I did my first play-thru but I might start the game over and be bad this time, but don't know if I should be bad if it ends up changing the ending of the game.

I only played a minute to make sure the game loaded and was ready to go.
now I'm scouring the internet for edits, hacks, and optimized settings to run it at.
gonna have a go this weekend.

I still have to finish Dishonored and FC3..

I tried most of the fixes such as the memory pool and setting vsync in the Nvidia control panel and not in game. It seems to not stutter as much, but with vsync set in the control panel it seems to drop down to 30fps quite a bit more compared to when vsync was set in game. Don't think I saw it drop below 30 though. Also, I was NOT using adaptive vsync.
