Hey guys, great game so far, it runs great on my eyefinity setup biggrin.gif I get LOTS of textures pop up and it kinda destroys the immersion. Sometimes I am in one place and textures are always changing even if they're close. Do you guys get the same? Is it because my 5870 only has 1GB and the res is too big?
Thanks thumb.gif

I'm sure early in this thread someone has altered a config setting for shadows, improving quality. Might give it a bash.

Ive only played a little after that raffle section and not noticed it else were. Derko, have u seen it later on in the game?

CompositeDynamicLighting=true, in Engine.in file. In the settings section. Improves shadow quality with little performance loss.

I havent tried it yet, will do later.

You got it backwards, CompositeDynamicLights=true reduces shadow quality while improving performance.

That's ok. Technically what CompositeDynamicLights does is mixes static lighting with dynamic lighting, hence the name Composite. You probably won't even tell the difference, but you should gain 10-20% FPS boost.

Thanks for that. Any ideas why ive expierenced shadows improving quality the closer I get? It might be only in a certain section of the game, im not sure. But if u go to chapter selection and go back to raffle fayre again as you walk up the steps and onto the next level shadows pop in but with a invisible line around you. If that makes sense.

I just want to let anyone know that I can play bioshock infinite on ultra without lag so we can stop some rumors.. Here's my setup

3570k @ stock clock (enhanced msi turbo boost)
8gb DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24
7950 3gb boost state (10% overclock 980 core --> 1090 memory 1250---> 1375mhz)
Catalyst 13.3 beta 3
Windows 8 Pro

Bioshock setting:

Ultra preset and yes.... frame rate limiter ACTIVATED in games
CCC setting, everything stock no CAP but v-sync OFF (unless application specified)

Nothing is lagging except at certain point when it load part of the map (1 ms lag then 60 fps). Everything is running at 60 fps for me without any problem. Those 1ms lag are most likely related to HDD read speed. I will install on my SSD tonight.

I know my post will sound offensive but while I was playing bioshock infinite last night, I kept thinking (people need to calm the heck down about the micro map-loading lag)
