I wouldn't mind having MP tacked on, seems like it would be allot of fun with the sky rails and hooks. The MP could be the war between Vox and the Founders, a good 'ol red vs. blue civil war. They wouldn't even need to add a bunch of MP game modes to make me happy, I would just like to keep playing it without going through the same story over and over.

"120/240/etc hz" on tv's all fake smoothing crap to make it look like higher refresh rate. When in reality cable/satellite/ is 60hz, bluray 24fps technically.

All it does is add input lag in games.

I doubt they wanted to risk doing it over the storm around Bioshock 2 and its multiplayer. The game is good enough for several replays though, just do it in a different way or perhaps give 1999 mode a go. I agree with you on the combat though, it felt really good.

See this is why I'd never pay $60 bucks for this game. I played it and almost beat it and absolutely love it. Probably one of the better story driven FPS i've ever played. But the most I'll get from it is 25 hours or so with two playthroughs. Thats not worth $60 bucks to me. Now something like skyrim or BF3, I have no problem paying 60 bucks for. And before you ask, no I did not pirate it. Came with video card I got for my birthday.

After finishing this game, I gave it some thought. And while I was able to draw a few of my own conclusions, I don't think I would have ever come up with something as good as this really well written analysis.

I've no way of knowing Irrational's true intent\message behind this game... but I've read that essay twice, and have decided it's pretty much canon until proven otherwise. It's enhanced my overall experience with this game, and is definitely encouraging me to do another playthrough. If only I can stomach the thought of arena battle after arena battle again....

So here's everything I edited in my ini's for peeps if they want to try, see if it makes a difference.

SkeletalMeshLODBias=-1
ParticleLODBias=-1
MassiveLODDistanceBias=0
StaticMeshLODDistanceBias=0
SkeletalMeshLODDistanceBias=0
ParticleSystemLODDistanceBias=0
CullDistanceBias=0.1
UseComputeShaderAmbientShadows=True
UseHighQualityLightShaftRendering=True
EnableHDAO=True
EnableSM5ShadowSystem=True

DiffusionDepthOfField=True
BokehDepthOfField=True
bEnableVSMShadows=True
bAllowHardwareShadowFiltering=True
bAllowBetterModulatedShadows=True

As far as the stutter fixes, I set them but didn't notice any difference compared to these settings. Anyways, I'll post more later when I'm not busying playing 1999 mode.

[edit] Anything with lines might be enabled in game, but it's NOT in the default BaseEngine. I just acquired a new one, since I forgot to backup, so that's why you might see more get strikes. Sorry, was really tired when I started all this.

Anyone else not able to play this game at all? It freezes after I select the difficulty of the game. I'm able to run the benchmark though. I did the verify the integrity of the game and Steam downloaded 8mb but it didn't fix it.
