I don't know which difficulty I played on honestly. I assume it was hard though, I usually play on hard. Going to replay on 1999 mode.

As I said, I only got a few of the Infusions. Had 3 points in health, ~5 in shields and 2-3 in Vigors.

I'd suggest maxing the shields out, better off losing that than health in the heat of the moment. I was able to hide once the shields went because of the fact I stayed back with the sniper rifle, I'd assume if you use some of the other weapons it favours getting in nice and close. I'm probably going to run through on hard soon, see how much it changes - not sure I'll like 1999 mode though.

So how are the graphics in my game? Got the codes for my Never Settle Reloaded bundle yesterday (sadly I don't need Crysis 3 since I already bought it. Have to somehow find a way to sell it since we can't sell it on here mad.gif ), but my PSU is out for RMA so I can't even play it. I'm scared that I'm going to be dissapointed by the graphics (not saying that it is the graphics that "make" a game, but it helps complete the experience) since all I have been playing is Crysis 3. Opinions? Comarisons?

Honestly the graphics are fine. I actually liked rapture a lot more than I liked Columbia though. However Im pretty sure the graphics will be the last thing on your mind as you finish the mind **** that is bioshock infinite. The game is definitely a creative masterpiece.

It's not Crysis 3, but the graphics are really nice - the art style is awesome. Some textures are a bit crappy, and the AA isn't great but otherwise you'll like it I'd have thought.

Ooh that sounds tasty thumb.gif So are we expecting some mods for this game? I feel like I'm going to feel a bit out of place without being stuck in the Rapture. Sure I'll get used to is though.

Underused RPG elements, occasionally weak AI, game length padded by unnecessary looting.

I would agree with this part of the statement the most....I ended up with probably $1500 in unspent money and 90% of the time, had plenty of ammo (sniper rifle and hailfire/volley)...but either way I still would have explored every nook and cranny
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I also ended up with 15 or so extra lockpicks...and I know I couldn't have missed many safes/locked rooms...i found a vending machine in 2nd half of game that sold them and bought maybe 3-4 just incase...so its hard to tell if you are just going to have extras if you xplore everywhere, or how its balanced...also bucking bronco and posession were my 2 favorite vigors

I just finished installing the game and it's totally unplayable.

It's as if the game has no font. All of the letters/words show up as blocks. I can't even get past the first intro screen, cause I don't know what it says!

Anyone experience this issue? I searched Google and OCN and didn't really find anything.

I'm running a nVidia GTX 465 and a AMD 9950 BE no OC's on anything. I also just updated my drivers as of 1 hour ago.

I hate new games. frown.gif

Stuttering shouldn't really be a problem, the official fix isn't that good either as I'm sure it's what caused my scripting error (PoolSize tweak). For those who think the game's weak, play that crap on 1999 mode. I've got one word for you: "HandyMan". He will kick the crap out of you to the point you'll be crying, trust me it isn't as easy as it seems. If you plan on that mode, I'd also invest in health/shield before vigor abilities. Trust me, it WILL come in handy. I'm on 1999 mode, 5/health 5/shield 3/vigors and it is finally getting bearable, though only downed one handyman so..... I'm not looking forward to the end fights, not at all.

Well I just finished the game. Yeahhhhhhh all of that "in game demo" stuff never happened. Elizabeth never opened up a rift to paris like in the demo. Kind of wondering if that isn't going to be a add on down the line.

The way vigors work is a bit of a step backward from the power ups in Bioshock 2 (lol I already forgot the name of the power ups). In bioschok 2 you could be more proactive and aggressive about getting power. In bioschock 3 it kind of just takes you along for the ride. Guns are much the same way.

There are also a lot of things that they flat out seemed to steal from myst, even the whole notion of multiple worlds and the multiverse theory seems to have been extrated right from myst. It actually becomes pretty apparent when they start getting towards the end. (if any of you ever actually sat through the brain damaging frustration that was myst, god bless you).

The graphics are a huge step up from bioshock 2, but a MASSIVE let down considering the current technology for graphics engines. I would describe the graphics like crysis 3 and Kingdom Hearts had a weird mutant offspring. Everyone has rather large eyes, and even at max settings, there was still some noticeable pixelation of peoples faces when you got close. Everything was also too bright. I do understand that the city is in the sky and of course it is going to get a lot of sunlight up there, but the shadows and lighting are wayyyy off. Even skyrim with no mods did a better job at lighting which is weird since you think that while they were stealing some of the monsters from skyrim (not going to name which ones for the sake of keeping spoilers out of this post) that the game makers would have noticed the lovely lighting skyrim has. But I guess that is not obvious to them. However, The depth of objects and the fluidity of moving objects has certainly improved.

Another weird thing to keep in mind guys is that this game really seems to take a step away from the Bio in bioshock. All the weird, dark, and creepy human experimentation and mutation has been done away with and has been replaced by quantum mechanics. To a certain extent, you almost need to know a bit about physics just to understand the plot line. Don't get me wrong. I still LOVE the plot line. But for some of you die hard bioshock fans who love the creepy little sisters like they are your own daughter and love to have nightmares about drugged out zombies going through withdraw trying to kill you.....prepare to be disappointed.

The guns in this game are a little wacky too. Instead of having your always trusty rivet gun on hand, you have to pick up dropped weapons or find weapons laying around. This kind of sucks because when you like a gun, you are sometimes forced to trade out for a lesser quality gun due to ammo constraints. Normally I have no issue with this in games where the enemy is mainly using a single gun with a few unique guns thrown into the mix. In this game it seems like everyone has a different gun than you and you can't find ammo worth a crap. It gets very annoying very quickly.

This game is sort of a wash for me. If they had made the story line into a movie, it would have probably been one of the greatest movies of all time. And for just the story line alone, I absolutely love this game. But the game play is kind of pathetic.
