This game doesn't work with adaptive vsync from my experience, you just have to use the in-game vsync option. Screen tearing occurs because different sections of the screen are placed into buffers and without vertical sync they will always seem to tear whenever you move left or right. You might be able to minimize tearing by setting render frames ahead to 0, but I think even nvidia inspector stopped allowing you to set 0.

Bioschock Infinite... THE MOVIE EXPERIENCE!!! 3.5hr movie of the entire game!!!

I am only like 3 hours into the game... so I think I may not watch this until I actually finish it. But for anyone who has, or doesn't care... here you go!

Obviously... spoilers if you skip around it. thumb.gif

Saw that and totally don't think this works as a movie. Watching it, I was really bored. But playing it, I found everything fascinating.

I watched some of it and as expected it skips a ton of story that you get from just playing and collecting. I'd suggest playing the game for the best experience.

Just finished it and whoa!!!! I totally geek out over stories like those. That game had me on the edge of my seat. Gameplay aside because there was definitely some stumbling here and there.....what an amazing story IMHO. I see why some disagree with the ending as anti climatic but I was very pleased by the whole thing...again...story wise. This is definitely one that leaves you thinking and I waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy prefer those to kill big baddie fly off in spaceship cue picture of planet

Just like those awesome films you have seen, when you go back a second time and you start to realize all those little things that you didn't pay much attention too actually give you hints about the final ending. Was an amazing game to play through. Left me very satisfied and is truly up there with the other two Bioshock's. I do miss Rapture though frown.gif

Hehehe.

This is a great article for anyone that's finished the game and wants to read a really good thematic analysis.

That made me appreciate the story a loooot more.

Then there's this spoiler thread on NeoGaf with a TON of fantastic information. So much stuff in this game I never picked up on!

For the most part the only stuttering I experience occurs during non-combat sections where the game is obviously loading a new area. Not at all a problem or immersion breaking in any way.

With that said, there have been two parts in the game so far where I've gotten noticeable slowdown / stutter that occurs within combat. When Fink sends a couple waves of bad guys at you in the theatre and most recently in that large area within Shantytown that is surrounded by sky rails. With all of the enemies around me and flying around the map via the aforementioned sky rails I'm not entirely surprised by the stutter, but considering I'm running the game on two 7970's I'd hope that wouldn't be an issue, especially since I'm maintaining a cool 120 FPS on Ultra settings. Is anybody else experiencing a moderate amount of stutter within the most demanding parts of the game on Ultra (but fine everywhere else) or are there people out there who have systems which never have any drops or stutter except for the obvious loading scenarios? Because I'd really like to have a system that is near stutter proof, it one exists. smile.gif
