Walk too the door, walk away. if you are running fraps, you'll see what I mean. I can look away from the door (right next to it), 60fps, look at the door, 30fps. Walk away from the door and look at it, 60fps. Kinda odd no? They screwed up vsync and loading, pretty bomb tastic too. Anyways, patches should fix that up nicely and it is a recent release. I think they have issues rendering certain things, dunno exactly what I'd have to mark down every are it dips. Don't care too, just during areas where I'd get screwed in FPS I dropped it to 1360x768 and it worked fine. That's what I did the first play through, and the second (mostly). Cause I have to have vsync on, tearing is fugly.

How did they screw up vsync and loading? Works just as it should for me. Loading levels is relatively quick, the texture streaming makes the game stutter for a second when you enter a new area, but otherwise fine. Vsync removes tearing as it's supposed to.

This is a great article for anyone that's finished the game and wants to read a really good thematic analysis.

That made me appreciate the story a loooot more.

Then there's this spoiler thread on NeoGaf with a TON of fantastic information. So much stuff in this game I never picked up on!

I read that essay you linked after I finished the game. I think he touches on a lot of great points. I do think there is more to it beyond what his essay summed up but that was definitely a great reading following completion of the game. Thanks for the link

It was a thematic analysis, not a complete overall conclusion. That's why I also linked the NeoGaf thread. There are a lot of details in there that I missed. I'd probably need a few playthroughs to see and hear everything related to the story, and I don't have that kinda time frown.gif But I'm really glad they put so much into this game. I think it paid off. Very few games\movies have thought-provoking or intricate narratives.

Oh I definitely agree, hope it didn't come off as combative. I loved his take on it all and definitely caught myself more than a few times in my playthrough saying some of the exact same stuff (love poli sci etc) , the Neogaf one was also pretty awesome. The game definitely is one not to be missed, imo. I'm just kinda sad that I finished it before starting crysis 3 because while i am a die hard crysis fan I also acknowledge it is not heavy on headscratcher deep pondering moments. thumb.gif

Probably a week or two. We were spoiled with Tomb Raider.

Getting a bit tired of all these crashes taking place on my titan with the 314.22 drivers. I have completely removed any overclock and just set to default now in order to keep it from crashing. Random crashes (game, not display driver) plus autosave feature makes for a very, very annoying experience.
