The convenient thing about most benchmarks is that they don't show the minimums. Average frame rate usually looks pretty good on any CPU until you have those drops and then a CPU that maxes at 60 will be at, say, 30 when the one that maxed at 120 will be sitting at 60. If he can deal with the drops, more powa to him
but he's obviously pretty aggravated at 20FPS.
Yeah we are on the same page, the thing is its about $400 to switch to intel, while he can get a 1090 for $170, used even cheaper.
This is just speculation from this point on since I havent played the first crysis, I have been meaning to but I dont have much time for gaming and one game takes up my time, currently thats bf3, but with the horrible gpu use he gets, and my experience with 560ti sli on my system, im sure he will at least get 30fps min, if not 40fps.
If he can afford the $400 for intel he should though, I plan on ivy bridge for my time to switch, but then again i live near a microcenter and the $170 for a 2500k has been taunting me for too long now lol. I think what has held me back is that I want another ROG board and cant justify $300+ on their atx z68 one, the micro atx maximus I would love, but I want to sli high end cards if I go intel and the matx one is too small for my current 570 lol
