Basically,
Core 2 Duo e6600
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler
2 GB Ram, I don't remember the timing >_<
Asus P5W Deluxe MB

I know I need to adjust vcore and FSB, but I'm not sure to what and I'm not sure what else I need to do. I've never overclocked before, so I don't know what programs I need, how to test system stability, etc. etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: I'm not sure if I should mention, my case is a COOLER MASTER Centurion 532 RC-532-SKN1 with two case fans, intake in the front, exhaust in the back...
my power supply is ASUS 550 Watt

EDIT: More info from PC Wizard 2006
Bus Speed = 1068.5 Mhz
DDR2 SDRAM timing 5-5-5-15
Processor temp - 32.5
motherboard temp - 43
processor fan - 788 RPM (ASUS MB has Q-Fan, which controls the CPU fan based on temperature... should the CPU get hotter, Q-Fan would kick up the CPU fan speed)

Welcome to the forums! It would make it much easier to sort out your specs if you fill it out in the USER CP at the top of the page.

As for how to OC your system, here is a great place to start:

http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...ing-guide.html

Also, here is a longer one, but more in depth - the OC bible if you will....
http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html

Once you read over that, we can tackle more specific questions.

I filled out my User CP. I would have done that if I saw it before... thank you. I'll read through those guides and let you know of any questions I come up with.

Thanks again for the warm welcome guys!

I'm starting to understand better the correlation between FSB and the multiplier... lower multiplier + higher FSB = faster... I'm getting confused with things like how much voltage to add and how the FSB speeds correspond with RAM timings.
