BUT BUT BUT since its the blue version i has rubber all over the mouse i have to say that the material SUCKS, i get more sweaty with this mouse then before, especially on the right side where my little finger & ringt ringfinger is resting.
The strange thing is that i i cant really palm the mouse feels like i'm clawing it. It seems just to little for my taste can't seem to get a good grip around it.
And also the side buttons is like the worst i have ever used. after like 10 clicks it gets very icky, Never ever had that problem with my IE3.0 Or when i tired both the Naos 5000 or MX518.
I will return the mouse since i hate the material after like 5min gaming and the side buttons, i have to use the side buttons when i 'm gaming so used to it.
Gonna buy an MX518 instead, it's like 50% of the price of the EC1 Blue and has sides buttons that are like the best thing i have ever used (exept for the naos 5000 buttons)
Well if you sweat a lot you should try the White (glossy) version since the material on that is exactly for that purpose (to stop sweat).
Now for EC1 (White) vs EC2 (Blue) vs Deathadder 3.5g:
After comparing EC1, EC2 and Deathadder - I liked EC2 the most for since its smaller and lighter so I can move it very fast all the time without any effort (great for movement in games like Quake Live).
EC2 is small (kind of like Wheel Mouse Optical) but ergonomic and has a great grip and a very good curve on the right side for all the fingers (unlike MX518 where you find you pinky in a weird position).
EC1 is bigger (by 15-20%) so its more for palming than anything else, but I can still kinda palm/claw the EC2 without any effort (actually very close to what I end up holding MX518 like).
Deathadder is even bigger than EC1 (not by much) but for me it feels less comfortable since the shape is worse:
1. Less room for your pinky on the side which is annoying.
2. Much heavier (113g vs EC1 97g vs EC2 93g) - this does matter if u move it a lot and fast.
3. The side buttons are way too low making it harder to grab with the thumb and also making it easy to hit the back button on accident.
4. Deathadder's mouse feet are too fast for me making it too slippery on any fast pad (only good on QCK for me / way too fast on Goliathus Control/Speed/Taito).
As for sweating - I did sweat a bit with the Deathadder but much less with EC Blue and not at all with EC White.
As for the most asked question - the sensor of Zowie EC1/2, is it any good?
Well actually it's great! I had no lift-off bug or jitter on both mice (EC1 & EC2) on 500/1000 cpi @ 500/1000hz (I didn't test on 2000 cpi since its way too fast for me to play with).
Lift off distance is very low (about 1 cd) and there is prediction but its very minimal.
I couldn't make it skip and its very consistent.
I think for games like StarCraft 2 and Quake Live EC2 should be amazing since it's so light and easy to move around.
