Just bought 800D. Need suggestions.

I've been wanting to get this case and finally bought one. I've got a few questions you guys can surely answer! Pictures will be awesome!

1. What is the best reservoir to keep it minimal and almost sleeper? I currently have an EK 250ML Basic Reservoir (cylindrical) and I think it will just crowd the case.

2. Optimal placement for the pump.

3. Is there a way to fit another rx360 or 480 in the case? If so how? (pics would be nice smile.gif)

4. Suggest getting quick disconnects? yay or nay?

Thank you OCN smile.gif

1. Swiftech micro rez

2. You could also do one of those EK cyliner res with the bottom made to mount a D5 pump to it. Tho with this many rads and lots of blocks i would suggest 2 pumps for optimal flow rate biggrin.gif

3. top 360...back 120 and basment 240 rads biggrin.gif

Like this just better tube routing lol

final_small.jpg

4. yes YES YES!!!!!! QDCs are life savers. i wish I would have used them on my WC build!!

There are a lot of 800D build threads in this forum. Grab a few ideas and make it your own. My 800D build thread is in my sig if you want to grab some ideas. I like how it turned out, but if I started all over again... I'm sure it would be different. The 800D case is a great case to mod. As for QDC's, I have 2 in my build. After draining my system once, I could have used a couple more to make it easier... but it isn't necessary.

i would just grab something like this as i find it really unsightly to see the pump just sitting out like that. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11219/ex-res-232/XSPC_Dual_525_Bay_Reservoir_-_Laing_D5_MCP655_w_Blue_LED_Light_-_Clear_Silver_Black.html

if you are going for the "sleeper" look, or stealthy, check out my build log in my sig, that is the main focus for mine, along with silence. if i had the chance, i would do the 480 mod on mine though, and just keep it at a 480, 240, and MAYBE a 140 in the rear. i'm actually using two 150ml ek reservoirs in mine. and about the quick disconnects, i do see the usefulness they provide, but it'd be mainly for draining a loop IMO. that's why i have 2 fill ports on mine, that way i can turn the case upside down to drain it out. hope this helps, lemme know what you plan to go with thumb.gif

1. I just use a bay res but this is about as small as I have seen. I would just get a single bay res or something unless you plan on filling them up with something else.

2. I put it in front of the power supply with a EK top on it. Front of the top facing the window as far back as it will go. I have it screwed to the mesh. No modding involved.
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_439_770&products_id=24823

3. I have a XSPC RX360 in the roof no problem. If you go 480 you will need to mod (there are guides on youtube and here just google) and there will be no room to put anything in the top 2 drive bays if I am not mistaken.

4. They are really nice if you seem to have every problem in the world and end up draining your water loop every week for this or that problem but if you don't plan on draining it but every 6 months to change the water I don't think it is worth the money.

I totally forgot about the reservoir and pump. That is a nice one to consider. Now will I be able to mount my rx360 in push pull config on top for will I need a shroud to avoid hitting the motherboard?

I used a koolance shroud for my rx360 run push/pull at the top to avoid hitting the mobo.
