Did you already try going into control panel > sound , then change the output device to the sound card?

Is it set to the default sound device within your control panel? Also make sure you have your audio cable plugged into the right jack depending on your speaker configuration.

Also, depending on how your headphones connect, you may need to switch between devices in control panel. Mine plug into the optical port so I need to switch during those quiet hours.

hmm that is what i first tried but my card is not listed only a bunch of speakers and my montor but they all say realtek high definition audio...(not plugged) also under the device manager when i select audio devices my sound card is not listed tho when i go into creative software it did recognize my audiocard and did the updates for it.... im starting to feel stupid & worried.

Disable your Onboard so we can rule that out.

Download Creative Console Launcher.

You can also determine what mode by going to Start → Creative → Creative Audio Control Panel
