Are either Noctua or Thermalright planning to release a new top of the line heatsink in the next ~year?

I will want to buy a new one if it comes out, but I am not very hopeful, as both are fairly old designs, and both still do the job better than all other heatsinks. So I don't see much of a need for a new one.

Side note: I added a poll, asking which should I buy, the D14 or the Arrow. I care about everything. The stock fans it comes with, the memory clearance, the fact that the Arrow can put a 38mm fan in the center, the (meaningless) fact that the D14 is a matte silver and the Arrow is shiny, I mean everything.

I think the best way to find out is to just simply email them. Notcua's support is really friendly and pretty speedy, or at least has been for me.

They are developing a successor to the NH-D14 among other coolers. If that's the same video I've seen, the Noctua rep actually says so.

I'd love to see SA2 as well, the huge pieces of heatpipe sticking out the top are a real turnoff.

Remember to post back if and when you get some answers!

Yeah, Noctua already had a triple-stacked CPU cooler last year, hope they release it soon tongue.gif

At first I was like "how come last year", but then I was like "d'oh".
Too much smil3dbd4e4c2e742.gif probably.
