Memtest86 error - How do i tell which module is producing the errors?

Thread Starter
I'm getting the errors shown in the attached screenshot in memtest86, is there a way I can isolate the modules responsible and replace them? It's been running for about 3 hours now, how long would you recommend that a memtest86 be run to be reasonably certain of the errors produced (or lack thereof)? Thanks.

A single error is bad. To see which stick it is pull one out and then retest. If it fails take it out and put the other one in. If it passes then you know which one is bad. Vice versa.

gotcha. by the way, would using 2GB x 3 be much slower on a dual channel setup than 2GB x 2? I'd like to keep 3 of the 4 sticks if possible, but only if it won't impact the performance of the machine too much.

no, it won't be noticeably slower.. keep the three sticks until you can get a replacement for the faulty one(s)
