Dead 6600GT?

Well the other day i decided to remove the IHS off of my CPU. Before i removed my HSF, i took out my video card too to have more room to work with. The IHS removal was a disappointment; i got a +2C increase in temps. The thing is, after i put my stuff back together, i wasn't able to play games anymore. The system would crash a few seconds after going into 3D mode. nVidia Sentinel told me after about 5 crashes that the card isn't getting enough power and that it's lowering performance (as to prevent hardware damage).

I tried the following to avail:

1. Reinstall drivers (ALL drivers; grfx, chipset, AGP, sound etc etc)
2. Test another power supply
3. Test it on other windows installations
4. Raise AGP voltage in BIOS
5. Penicl mod
6. Try another graphics card (works, which is why i assume that the card is the culprit).

All i did was remove the card, put the HSF back on the CPU and put the card back in. How could it have died just from that... Anything else i should try before throwing in the towel?

Back on your topic, are you sure you didn't damage your CPU with the weight of the Ninja?

Does the card have a extra power connector in the back?

Should be a 6 pin or molex connector.

My Raidmax's volts are all really stable in BIOS; i've been running on this for a few months now w/o problem. I have tried a different PSU; same problem.

Yes, it does have a molex. I did plug that in, made sure it was snug and all.
