Well im not a 3700 Sandy Guru but I think im pretty sure that its not great but it won't be that bad. Its probably Opteron with 1 core disabled.. maybe it was defective or something went wrong in the factory so they just disabled it and made it into a 3700 Sandy. So since its kinda like an Opteron then it will probably still OC pretty well, my 3800 X2 is also CCBWE with half the cache disabled and it OCs well and runs very cool. Of course your chip won't be as good as a KACAE or anything but its still fine IMO .

In the bios it says max processor voltage: 1.4v

I can't raise it more than 1.4v. Is that from the mobo or cpu? Anyway to fix that?

That would be from the bios/mobo. Some mobo's can be voltmodded to unlock a higher voltage though, you might wanna google voltmodding your mobo.

Check out the steppings list at this link!

There is no way to enable the other core right?

And I can't find a voltmod for my mobo...

Xeoc, I beleive I have the same stepping as you and it looks like we both are at 2.5. Do you have it at 227x11 I take it? I have it at the same and can't go higher, wondering if you have the same problem...

Yes it is at 11x227. When I was installing windows, I went to 9x270 and it worked all fine and windows installed ect, then when I restarted the computer, it kept locking up on the windows screen. Any ideas?

The CCBBWE isnt a great stepping at all, if you can return it and get the BN box from newegg.com if that is where you ordered from. It will be $102 but it will give a MUCH better stepping. I called newegg.com and told them they sent me a Toledo core and they RMA'd at with not charges to me.

It appears that they don't have any more bn boxes judging the site
