3/5. Surely these people are in need but it is hypocritical to help these people and turn your back from the homeless and poor that we have in our own country.

I would agree that there are a lot of programs for third world countries, and not as many at home, but it is unfair to call someone a hypocrite for helping. The people at World Vision do not advocate for people to ignore their own homelessness and other issues. They simply advocate for helping third-world countries.

Besides, there are plenty of local charities where I am from, you just have to get up and actually look, they are not as well advertised and/or known as World Vision.
