Win 7 + G500 Major Issue

Thread Starter
Hey OCN, i just installed a copy of windows 7 proffesional 64-bit and i hooked up my logitech g500 mouse and i get this stupid issue with it and i have no idea why. Drivers were installed and such. Here's what happens:

- i can't click on the taskbar to switch between different windows, can't click on windows start button and etc......
- when i do switch to different window (TAB button) i have to click a couple of times on the window to get it to work.
- when i move mouse about a webpage, it tries to scroll like when you push the middle scroll button and the little arrows show up
- sometimes when i click a link a new tab appears even though no settings were made to do that.

I have no idea what the heck is going on. Its really weird to me as I've never had that problem. frown.gif ANyone know of any solutions?

Bad mouse? have you tried another?
Were you having these issues before you installed the drivers for the mouse?

Have you tried using the mouse on another computer, and do you have a different mouse that you can test that computer with?

It could be a couple of different issues:

1. Drivers didn't install correctly
2. Bad mouse hardware
3. Windows 7 installation has an issue
4. A combination of the above
5. Some other obscure thing I haven't thought of. thumb.gif

I hooked it up to a MacBook Pro and it works fine from what I can tell. I didn't install drivers or anything on the MBP although when I plugged it in, it thought the mouse was a keyboard.....confusedsmiley.png

I hooked up a p.o.s logitech mouse to the regular pc and it works fine. I dont get it. Both of them work fine but the g500 although it works fine on other computers, it acts up weirdly on the dekstop.
