Don't give too much though to the experience you had with the Elite Power 400W.. that is a 300W unit at best, and a trashy one too.

I don't understand how is it the only premium part lol. Ain't my 2500K premium enough to be considered premium?? Anyhow, I'll go with the 600W Silent Pro Gold..

Ok, I'll give you that.. the 2500K is an upper mainstream part... but you're missing my point, you don't need such a high end PSU for that system, you'd be better off with a better VGA and a lower end PSU... buying premium power supplies is good as long as you don't sacrifice other core components of your system to afford that particular PSU smile.gif

How about a Corsair GS700?? I see it is cheaper @ RM350 in Jayacom, but is only 80+ certified and not modular.. But it has blue LED which I like since my system is all black and blue.. Plus it is on the FAQ: Recommended Power Supplies (OCN) but the CM is not..

That list hasn't been updated in a long while, the GS are honest units.. if you wanna go with a GS pick the 500W version, is more than plenty for your needs and it will save you some cash smile.gif

By "honest" do you mean that it's a go or a no go?? I guess it's a go on the GS series??

They're solid budget units, they don't excel in any way though... for 300 RN you can get a Seasonic S12II Bronze which is better.

Never mind I've got my mind set then. First choice will be the GS700. Thanks by the way. I don't need them to excel, I just need them to power up my system and last for a long long time to come.

The decision has been made. I'm going with the GS700. Thank you.

You're no listening... I feel like smacking you over the head with 40 pound Tuna fish, in a friendly manner of course wink.gif

After 6 pages of questions and answers and more questions and more answers you end up buying an overpriced, oversized, average Corsair unit(you got to love the Corsair marketing though, the way things are going, they could probably sell flats on the Gaza Strip at a premium).
