Well, my "Onboard Ubersound" sucks. I need a new card, preferably under 150 dollars.

THE CATCH:

It needs to work under Linux. Would rather it wasn't Creative (they suck).

Get the Soundblaster X-fi 137 dollars with tax
BEST buy
Micro center
Compusa
ARe all 137 dollars with tax.

Or get a chaintech soundcard for 30 dollars 7.1

And new creative soundblasters do not suck your thinking of the 98' models.
