My rig is as up to date as it can get and I don't think that's the issue. I usually only grab the latest official drivers and BIO's. I solved the USB problem by unplugging everything.

Your boot loop, try this BIOSL http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/BIOS/mb_bios_ga-z68xp-ud5_f6.exe

I'ts not the device, I think it's more like Windows 7. The devices work perfect in different USB ports. And this isn't just for Gigabyte boards. I saw the same USB issue with my father's HP desktop and he was using OE HP keyboards and mouse, but it wasn't his keyboard and mouse that wasn't working it was his USB drivers not install or an error trying to install them when Window's boot up.

After I unplugged everything from my rig, and completely removed power from the whole machine. The same USB ports that weren't working started working again as Windows 7 "magically" was able to run the USB drivers correctly again.

I duuno, from what im understanding on a cold boot theres a usb problem. So I think your problem is the actual usb hub itself.
Try booting in a cold boot without the hub and try that. tell me how it goes.

It's fixed, it was a driver problem not loading with the hub.

do you have the internal USb port that is marked with red interior on the bottom of the pins, do you have a device plugged into that.

Do you mean the USB plug on the board where you connect the front USB ports that are on the front of the case to? If so then yes.

But like I said it was a driver problem, I uninstalled the device within the Device Manager and it couldn't install the driver. After removing all power from the desktop it just re-installed the drivers fine and it's been fine every since. It's probably due to the fact that even with it shut off there's still power at the USB hubs and removing power completely pretty much rebooted the USB hub.
