That scenario would be bugging me immediately, so I'd be yanking off that Zalman 9500 in a flash to find out.
In the future, remember to write the stepping code before installation of the hsf!
Unless he got the dreaded cabge, here is to hoping you didnt!

The psu will only be taxed when you raise vcore, vdimm or excessive components. Some good oc'g ram runs on low voltages.
Cheepo psu's should be avoided though because when they go, you'll be bumming.

Well when I raised the FSB from 220 to 225 with the x11 multiplier it sure as heck didn't like that, just black screened but was able to get back into bios after a few minutes and brought her back down to 220 for now.

Google the stepping for the box number.

Try lowering the multiplier to 10x and then raising the fsb on up in increments of 5. You'll also want to loosen up the ram timings for starters, tighten latter.
DO NOT USE THE 10.5 MULTI. or you'll deff. lock up.

Did you drop the Memory Controler multiplyer down to 4x from the default 5x?
4x can usually take up to a CPU bus of 260MHz, above that drop to 3x.

I've never played with ram timings, I'm kind of scared to!
