If you want to just play SP.... You are best off avoiding this game totally, I brought it especially for online but after you unlock a few things, It gets very plain tbh.

That's crushing, I never played TM:B properly, used to play TM1 & 2 on my old PS1.Even got a copy of TW2 for PC somewhere or other. I like multiplayer but I still want it to be a sideline to a main story, especially when there's been as much character development and story.

Damn. I think I'd best leave it really. Maybe I'll rent it, maybe I'm better off not having my fond memories tainted. The last game I had do that was Tekken 6 and I still haven't recovered.

This. Loved TM:B and beat it with every character and played for many hours more. One of my favorite top 5 games EVER. I almost paid 60$ for a couple days after launch and decided not to because it did sound like TM. So sad now, doubt they will make another TM game if this is a flop

I don't know what you expect from this to be honest, a killer story? a billion things to unlock? I had so much fun for hours playing this with my gf, common this is twisted metal! Give me a giant destructible map, selection of decent handling cars, pack the place with power-ups and stuff, add in some bots with split screen and you are golden!

I loved this game, really wish they could do a vita port. Heads-on for the original PSP was just hours of fun. Game may not be perfect, but my god it is fun. It's like complaining about the lack of story in cs 1.6 ....some games just do not need a story. This is one of those games you pop in when you just feel like destroying stuff, and since the latest GTA is nothing but crap twisted metal is the next best thing!

I haven't had fun like this in a while, so few games deliver that feeling of pure pleasure.

The problem with the game is that its a step back in the series from TM: Black and even the previous TM games. I personally loved the individual story lines, the contrasting characters and the fact that everyone had a persona exemplified by their vehicle, special abilities and style of combat. That is all lost in this game. The campaign forces you to play only 3 characters, they have replaced the individualism with unlocks, the maps are recycled throughout the game and at the end of the day it isnt an improvement on the series. Its crap. All I want to know is how much the padded game reviews cost..

Thats not to say that you cant find some fun in the game but like I said its not an abundance of fun. 60$ for a 2-3 hour campaign and a muliplayer with server issues is not worth.

This, this, this!

That explains everything, I find it a real killer of the game, playing axel as sweet tooth.... wth? Its also odd that for the first time Mr Grimm is not the grim reaper too.

Some reviewers are looking for the words HD and Collection on the box as the reviewers are not as impressed as they would of liked to be.

I agree completely. It has a bunch of cool stuff, but a lot of the direction feels like they didn't get enough fan input.

The main thing I'm afraid of is that when multiplayer for it dies off we'll lose out on about 80% of what the game has to offer since most everything was aimed at multiplayer.

Couldn't care less about split-screen in 2012, I would of cared in 1999, but I imagine other people are glad it's there.

Anyways,

My point is the game's campaign is very different than multiplayer,

They should have included the ability to set up a map with as many bots as you want in any game-type, but I imagine that would of required them to program the AI to support every game-type, and much more time to make it intelligently use it.

So when this game dies *and it shouldn't take long" most of the game will be unavailable.
