800d or 650D?

Thread Starter
Is anyone running 800D with H100, H80 or H50?

Would the 800D be overkill for those coolers?

Should I buy 650D instead? IDK I have been fed up for so long by my Antec 300, that I feel the need to get a very large case. And since both Antec 300 and 650D are mid towers I was thinking full tower for sure, but it seems like I will be the only one not running custom WC with 800D. And there isn't too much price difference either. The 650D costs too much for a mid tower.

The 800D, in my opinion, is best for full water cooling loops only. The airflow isnt great, so your 570 may run warmer. If I had to pick in your situation, I would go with the 650D, 600T, or maybe the 690ii Advanced? Your H100 would fit nicely into any of those cases.

Unless you plan doing "real" water cooling later, I see no reason to have such a huge case like the 800D.
IMO, the 800D would be overkill.

My cpu and gpus will be long gone before my 800d is. Its rare to find a computer part that you never want to replace.wink.gif
