DS3, e6300 and fans problem, running on standby

Hi guys.

So I just got my rig setup and it's going pretty good right now on stock cooling not overclocked yet.

I'm running xp pro sp2, and when I put this thing on standby the fans keep running. The system fan, the cpu fan, and the vga fan, which are all connected to the mobo in some way. As this is my first rig built, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that (I imagine it wouldn't be because my previous store bought systems did not).

i have tried all the power settings and nothing, and i have tried googling it but I get answers about msn messenger, to bios problems (i'm running on the f4 bios btw)

does anyone else know the solution to this? Thanks, repp for sure.

Look to your BIOS. You say you have tried all the settings but you fail to say what settings you have tried. Have you tried the Power setting called S1/S3. If not, set to S3.

Thanks for the reply.

Actually the power settings i've tried were in the control panel options. I didn't know the bios had settings as well. I'll look into that later. Does anyone know what I should be looking for though?
