Not at all too far behind. As long as you have 2 Gigs of RAM things should be pretty nifty. Id be more concerned about memory requirements, this one looks to be quite a hog. You can OC that E6300 and your FSB and things should zip zoom fly the way you want them to.

Info
its an Real Time Strategy that has an First Person Shooter feel, advanced AI, Psychics, battles really scar land, grenades send soldiers flying, frags topple buildings into crums that react different every time, use the scars of the battlefield to form new tactics, airstrikes are enormous & loud and feel like your ears have just been ringed out, captures a whole new WWII feel and sort of feels urban which is good IMO. hmmm i think ive said enough. but if your rig is anything like mine, and you feel like pushing it for the next generation

Then download the demo today, and buy the game tommorrow

and if your rig isnt up to par at the moment, this game is worth getting it above the bar
I hate to reiterate what one has already put forth, Comapny of Heros owns you, I'm curious too as to why there isn't more of a buzz about this game on these forums, the PC game forums anyway. I got on the beta awhile back and have been addicted to it ever since. Company of Heros is quite literally the best RTS in the last 6 years, at least the most revolutionary. There's just something to be said for when a tank goes out of control and hits a building with soldiers inside .
IF YOU LIKE RTS GAMES THERE IS NO REASON YOU SHOULD NOT OWN THIS GAME, I'M SERIOUS.

This has been another action packed episode of wasting time with redfroth thank you and good night.

Wait I"m confused. I know that this is a RTS game, but is it possible to play in First Person?

No this isnt a first person game. LOL its all in 3d battle view. You can rotate the battlefield any which way you want... with two swift presses of backspace brings you back into the default view. What you can do though is perceive the battle from the point of view of any of your units, or squads. Even if they are entrenched within a position such as a building. Watch out for placing them in damaged buildings though. This game is heavy on collateral damage.

I agree. This game is definitely one of the best time wasters of an RTS I have ever seen. Just finished another small battle on it (Battles on hard difficulty typically last 3-4 hours or so) so this isn't something you can finish overnight. Takes tactical squad movement and strategy to a new level. The models, damage and weapons are so realistic you would swear that you were an authority on WWII just after a couple of levels. (actually they incoroporate almost every single field weapon and vehicle EVER seen in WWII including variants and modifications... I love the Sherman Tank with the Caterpillar rails that clear mines.... they also work to tear enemy troops into SHREDS literally... and then other nearby enemies retreat like a bunch of ants set on fire... unbelievable) I think I also mentioned this before..... nothing blows up twice the same way, or they have enough ways that things blow up that it never gets old. I think I forgot to mention that the sound is also incredible? Enough swearing in it too for sure. And I thought FEAR was bad. Just hear the reaction of your men when they are pinned and outnumbered. lol (eg; "F**k commander, theyre killing us! Stay where you are airborne! Suck it in! F**k! F**k!")
Not only that, but the game keeps you on your toes! A wrong tactical formation or setup with little or no cover can easily spell death and failure to the mission. You have to watch everything with this one! The number of things you have to do at once is absolutely mind boggling.

My honest rating, and believe me im picky, would be a solid 11.5/10
Finally a game that challenges me. And the conflicts actually make SENSE. A direct artillery impact on a troop formation means all your guys die. No one hardly makes it out alive when theyre hit with a mortar shell. Theres some incredible unit balancing here too. Someone worked hard on this. Very hard.

Id honestly go out and buy this game twice. Its that good. I havent seen anything this good in RTS since Starcraft.

they totally outdid themselves. And I thought Supreme Commander was going to be revolutionary.

Sweet, thanks for the info Raver123. I'm downloading the demo right now. What settings would I except the game to play on my PC? I'm hoping this game is more RAM hungry than GPU/CPU

Dude stick around for a while and Im trying to figure out how I can take screenshots to show you guys!

And to answer your question, I believe this badboy game is pretty CPU/RAM intensive more then anything. Did I mention that when a tank blows up, the carcass of a burnt out tank shell stays where it is PERMANENTLY? Now thats coolness. Yup. Nothing disappears. In fact you can use tank carcasses as cover. And two tank carcasses dont look the same! And sometimes they set on fire sometimes they dont. Sometimes they go out of control, sometimes you blow up the main gun, sometimes you kill the gunner, sometimes you kill the driver, etc etc. Its all sheer utter coolness to the max. Like midway through a battle, you just have bodies and vehicle shells literally all over the place!

So I get ready to play the CoH Demo and this is what I get (see screenshot). Don't tell me that's not ghey, as I have more than enough physical RAM to run this. Sigh, oh well, I guess I have no other choice but to turn on my page file again.
