And BTW having a pagefile is okay IMHO. No big deal as long as you have >2G physical RAM. Sometimes some apps need to put certain kind of information somewhere, and these days resources like RAM would easily get filled up with 'miscellaneous' data, which your apps need to store somewhere, which ideally would go on your harddrive (why pagefiles exist). With no pagefile, Microcrap and certain applications would keep all the information on your physical RAM, which in turn would provide you with less RAM then you actually need to run your high end apps. Now heres the clincher... since a pagefile loads from your harddrive, this would be a cause for performance issues as SATA or IDE are not as high data transfer rate as DDR2 or DDR. So since a pagefile has to exist, the best idea is to put the pagefile on another drive not accessed by the operating system, preferably in a RAID O configuration and a 10000 rpm HDD. (Note I mean a different DRIVE altogether and not a PARTITION) The pagefile must exist, but if you have enough RAM it really isnt a big deal, since information stored on the pagefile would hardly be accessed anyways.
Thats makes total sense
I agree, anyway thats really odd that happens, maybe because this game was made to favor nvidia (or maybe a marketing strategy?) in any case i hope they get that sorted out, cuz u know i love that r!g of yours
