Explain your reasoning behind not Crossfiring for me. I could get two 5770's for $80 a piece easy, but I would have alot of trouble finding a 5870 for $160 (since two 5770's=one 5870)

I'd recommend going with a single 5870 (there have been a couple great sales that had them below $200). I had 2x 5770s at one point and I'd really push you away from that idea. The scaling was bad, there was barely any improvement going from 1 card to 2.

Scaling problems, driver problems especially with ATI and I don't see the future of crossfire problems with older cards improving. The direction of ATI is going with the newer cards working their problems with crossfire, etc

Check out geeks.com

They have some awesome deals sometimes on older cards. I saw a 5870 a day or two ago for around $150

Do not buy 2x 5770 thumb.gif

Alright wow thanks for the advice! I'll have to do some research and make a decision on which card I want to buy.

I used the RigBuilder and created my proposed PC, so you can all take a look at the updates and stuff. The "Price of this Rig" is how much I've spent on it so far.

Thanks again =)
