cheers for all the advice guys! ill have to see what i can find out there!
may even try to oc the 9600 first, if so would i need some extra cooling? my current card is heatsink only

just wondered if someone would give me some of the details of how to oc the processor and the gpu, ive never tried oc'ing before and id hate to fry my computer the first time!
Hodgoes2001 maybe you could give me some tips as im on a v similar system.
also how do i monitor my gpu temp when i start overclocking? is it partof atitool? or do i need a seperate utility?

Well with OCing your CPU.... it depends on the motherboard. let me know what type of motherboard u have and i will give u what advice i can. ok 4 OCing the 9600. i would get ATI TOOL. And just use the "find Max GPU" and "find max memory" features. run the Memory one first. the reason i say this is the the 9600s benifit more from memory speeds them GPU speeds.
