BTW, Intel has sold some real clunkers to gullible fools so I would not claim they put out "awesome products" because that's quite a stretch.

My i7 980X @ 4.2GHz is an "awesome" product. The i5 2500K @ $200 is an "awesome" product. The i7 2600K is a mere $300 for performance that in most cases thrashes my 980X -- that's awesome, too. Intel's SSDs are "awesome".

Yeah, their netbook stuff sucks, but that's not their core business.

AMD's getting their butts handed to them in the CPU space because of bad management. Because Hector Ruiz overpaid for ATi, because Hector Ruiz DELIBERATELY slowed down 65nm development because they were "so far ahead of Intel".

I doubt that. AMD can't even catch up to Intel's previous generation cpus, let alone any future cpus... Did you not pay any attention to Bulldozer? rolleyes.gif

But I guess, it could still cause harm...

It's not like es cpu's that won't hit mainstream for 1- 2 years can be bought on ebay anyway.

99 percent of es cpu's are older tech, certainly not a danger too intel.Motherboards wouldn't even support any es cpu that isn't scheduled too go public for a year anyway.

they will support ivy bridge CPUs, If you knew the manufacturer you could get a BIOS code that would support something like IVB-E

Details.

Minor Details.

Especially when you're putting out close to 800,000 PPD biggrin.gif
I don't care whether he uses Engineering Samples, Unreleased Archetypes or Protoss Warp Technology - if he keeps putting out numbers like that, he can use whatever kinds of processor he wants tongue.gif
