3D with Battlefield 3.

Thread Starter
This partially belongs in this section.

I am running at 1680x1050 resolution with a GTX 560.

The problem is that I can play BF3 but it will be blurry. With 3D on or off. If I make the resolution down to 1600x1200 then the blurryness goes away but then 3D doesn't work. The blurryness will also go away if I play the game in windowed mode. I am thinking that this is mainly do to 3D being on even when it isn't actually on. Not sure. I just switched to this new monitor so i am still figuring things out.

Any suggestions?

P.S. - Let me know if there is a better place to put this thread.

The 3D is nVidia 3D Vision.

Ok after disabling Steroscopic 3D BF3 isn't super blurry. But I still want to figure out how to play it with stereoscopic 3D on and be able to turn it off and on without blurryness.

Is your monitor 3D or not? Simple question but still feel it needs to be answered lol. Also can a 560 even run 3D on BF3? Seems like it would die under that load lol

The monitor IS 3D and everything is on. I tried tinkering with some settings got it a little less blurry but still not like it should be. Runs other game perfectly. Like BC2.

Might be silly to ask this but are you running the game resolution the exact same as your monitors native resolution? This "blurry" effect happens on games for me when I start to play at a res that isn't my monitors native resi smile.gif

Good luck!

edit: No you aren't at your monitors native resolution. Try changing it to the 1920*1080 setting to see if it goes away. Chances are that's it wink.gifthumb.gif

I am at its native. This viewsonic only handles a native resolution of 1680x1050

Try turning off all forms of Anti-aliasing, including those in the Nvidia control panel.

That made it less blurry. I turned off all Anti-aliasing of all kinds. But it is still to blurry to read the words in the chat box.

EDIT: Better graphics but still blurryness.
