best entry-level video cards:
hd 6790
hd 6850
GTX 460-560
If you get cheap video card..you will be disappointed
also..you could look for 5850-5870 for cheap on the web

The thing is I'm a bit concerned about the phenom series cause I heard that they were going to be phased out.
So I went for the FX-4100

And I could get my hands on a 6790 but I talked to some peeps earlier about GPU's And I realized that
I could just get something equal to an Xfired GPU, something like a 2 core GPU or something similar..
I'm having doubts about going into Xfire mode because of the heat and mostly practicality.

So I was thinking of going with 6870 or 6950 or GTX 560 Ti instead.
I still can't decide. And since I am going for a single card.. I could Up my budget to 100-170$$

The phenoms are being phased out but It doesnt mean you can run one as mentioned grab the 960t its going to give better performance thant the 4100 and the ability to potentially unlock 2 more cores. if you only got 100-170 for a gpu go with 6850/6870

Haha where were you when all the Bulldozer-bashing went down?

I'll say what everyone else has said, you're much better off getting a Phenom II, ideally the 960t.

If your budget allows, try for a MSI 560ti Twin Frozr II. They can be had on sale for $200 (but not the 448 core model, that model is a bit pricey)

Make sure its the 960T if you want to try to unlock though, and you need a motherboard that has ACC to enable them, and for you information unlocking cores is not a for sure thing just a possible bonus

True. But knowing it's there is just reassuring that there is a lot more that the procie could offer.
and there would be possibilities for it to get a bit more powerful.
