Why don't all of you come talk to me privately, or visit the AMD Graphics section and help the thousands of us who have crashing computers, crashing drivers, GSoD, and many other Crossfire issues such as negative scaling. Especially in titles released in the last 3 or 4 months.
I can go through my ACE Event Viewer and show you about 5~10 hardware faults an hour by just my 6990 just sitting idle on the desktop. The drivers need serious work still, especially for CrossfireX.
You don't have to be pro-nVidia to realize the drivers need a lot of work.
i agree 100% i hate fanboyism because the only one who benefits from it is the manufacturer. ive got 580s in my sig rig, but i just built a budget rig with an i3 and xfire 6850s, and it literally took the same amount of time to assemble my sig rig, install windows, update drivers, install games, and start tearing through them as it did just to get my 6850s to work. they are quite impressive now, but damn.... what a pain, never had amd cards before, and im not sure that i will resort to them again, until i hear they are as plug and play as nvidia.
the autodetction software they have dosnt always work and and when that happens, you've one serious headache, and some extra money in the swear jar.
soon: I7 3770K into sig rig, and 2600k into budget rig
and nvidia 690 quad sli into sig rig, and 580s into budget build.
not sure what will happen to the i3 and 6850s, probably auctions, or charity on OCN, to an unfortunate member.
