3dmark11 - 10k score for SLI GTX 570 deemed low?

Thread Starter
I just downloaded the free 3dmark11 bench and I got 10483 and it says my system is low compared to others with similar hardware.

3dmark11 score - 10483
Graphics score - 11626
Physics score - 8227
Combined score - 7906

Seems a tad bit low because quickly browsing these threads, some people are hitting 10k with 6950s and getting close numbers with GTX 560Ti's.

I am running a i5 2500k @ 4.5 and my GTX 570s are clocked at 800/1600 with 8GB ram.

I pulled a 11182 from my sli 570s, though the cards are running at 900/2000

What driver are you using? That can swing 500+ points.

That's good to know it's normal, though seems a bit low still since abs.exe got close to 10k. Now, I don't know what these numbers mean, but I see that SLI GTX 580s come in at around 14k, meaning that's a 4k gap from 570 vs 580. abs.exe's 560's came in at 9.5k, meaning only 1k away from mine. I would expect the gap between 560 to 570 to 580 to be roughly the same? I guess I had higher expectations for the 570 vs the 560Ti series.

Also, I have the free version so I understand, but my results page doesn't have all accurate information on my setup. The only thing it got correct was my 4.5ghz 2500k. It noted my 570s as Intel graphics, and shows my RAM at 667mhz instead of 800mhz. Does this in anyway effect the benchmark if 3dmark detects lesser hardware?

Note my GTX 560's Ti 2gb are overclocked to 933Mhz core.
Otherwise they would pull high 8k- low 9k.

3DM11 is mostly used by overclockers and, of course, benchers. The 'norm' on there is a highly overclocked system.

Valid point, I also overclocked from 737 to 800mhz, but not to the extremes of the 900mhz overclock here. I guess I'm surprised how much 100mhz clock to the core can increase the score by so much it seems.

If you want a more real-world difference to see your OC try folding. A 100MHz increase on my 590 yields ~3.5-4k extra PPD per core. SLI 570s should see similar results.

I just OC'd to 850/1700/2000 from 800/1600/1900 and I went from 10483 to 10854 lol. Not much of a difference it seems, I was expecting a little bit more at least for benchmarking scores.
