Whats your price range?

I personally think anyone would be mad to buy a graphics card now unless they are in dire need of one for business purposes or something like that. a 7970 would be a ten times better choice than two 560's. Possibly a bit more money but a much, much better investment.

Even if a 7970 is not your thing you should wait until they come out (not long at all now) and see how it effects the price of other cards.

I see you haven't been following whats being going on lately tongue.gif

I haven't being following with an eagle eye but last I saw the 7970 should be releasing at the end of the month and should be available for around £450 - £500.

Now that I look at it two decent 560 ti's should set you back around £350 - £400 total. Bit more of a difference than I thought.

Until the 7970 comes nvidia's GTX 580 is the current single GPU king. A 1.5GB model will set you back around £400 and a 3gb model will set you back around £450. It is suspected that the price of the 580 will fall shortly after the 7970 is released as the 7970 beats it hands down. The price drop is only speculation though. AMD's lower level cards should be releasing soon after and depending on there performance nvidia may have to start reconsidering the price of the rest of there cards.

Nvidia will not be releasing there next generation of cards until late 2012 - early 2013 (No concrete evidence of release dates though)

its list price is $550.. the 7970 is a ridiculously awesome card.. but they launched it too early, and they wont be available until the 9th.. also, nvidia's new kepler architecture is comming out probably in march/april of this year.. I'd hold out till then if you can.. otherwise wait at least until the 7970's been available for a little bit to see how that affects pricing of the older cards.

[edit] Jokah beat me to it.. lol.. and what I've been reading of nvidia its supposed to be early-mid this year?

What I know is only word of mouth stuff. Last I heard the general cosensous was late this year. Nothing concrete so no one really knows.

A few english sites have it listed between £450 and £500. Not great but probably not as bad as I may have expected after seing some of the Euro pre order prices. I'm sure i saw stuff like 750 Euros!!
