First watercooling project/build. HAF X

So i am not new to the concept of doing watercooling, or else i wouldnt be posting this right now, but yes, i have had some problems along the way and i will list off a few.
1. Bent some fins on my rad because of a falling screwdriver, luckily nothing happened to the actual pipes in the res, so i considered myself lucky.
2. Tubing and having my pump in this case is VERY tight with 2 gpus (which i didnt have enough money to put blocks on [also because i will be investing in the 700 series nvidia gpus])

Some pics

First box comes in from Dazmode

Measuring, cutting, and fitting tubing

Waiting for the CPU Block and fans to come in

Man this thing is great.

Installed and leak testing.

To anyone that is thinking of watercooling their rig, one thing that i would definitely recommend is either the use of compression fittings or using barbs that are 1 size smaller than the tubing you are using, like using 3/8" tube with 1/2" barbs. My friend that uses 1/2" tube and 1/2" barbs was going to be courageous and do it without clamps, Had a tube pop off and soak his rig. doh.gif

Thanks for anyone looking at this and just checking it out, i feel quite proud i was able to accomplish such a feat without some outside help.

Connor.

I would mount the pump in the drive bay
like this
old cosmos s build i did. this will make your loop cleaner. also shorting up the extra tubing will help to

That is pretty clean but i am not 100% sure that would be possible in my case as there really isnt much room with my dvd drive taking up the last spot that i would have available.

Thats the catch, im not too confident drilling into my case, if i am going to do that, i will definitely do it when i get my new GPUs and put them under water.
