OCZ ModXtream 600W & 700W difference

I looked at the ocz specs page (http://www.ocztechnology.com/res_old/manuals/psu/MXSPRO_manual_allpgs_FINAL_lr.pdf) of ModXtream PSU and found 600W unit and 700W unit have exactly the same specs on output currents. This is also seen on third party site like:

700W:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4362115&CatId=2533

600W:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4362114&CatId=1483

So what's the difference between the two? Am I paying extras for nothing for getting three 700W units?

I want to put two HD 5870 (not crossfire mode) with this PSU, is that enough with molex to pci-e adapters? Looks to me all 4 6-pin pci-e adapters needs to be taken into 12V rail 2, that's 75W x 4 = 300W, which is just the same as 700W PSU specs for rail 2, 12V x 25A. I am not sure if this is safe practice.

I have a phenom II x6 1055t overclocked at 3.73GHz with default vcore, and it drains about 160-180W at full load. Other parts takes minimal power and could be ignored as far as I can see.

Look at the labels again. The 600W is rated for 504W at 12V and the 700W is rated at 552W.
Personally though, I would recommend against the ModXStream line and get one of these instead:

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't realize that. Yes on my 700W it says 552W for both rails of 12V output so I guess they cannot reach 25A at the same time. I thought I could reach 600W (12V * 25A *2)total for the 12V output

It's interesting first 3 of the 4 you gave has much better 12v output than this crappy 700W PSU, and the last one was made by ocz again. I bought these PSU already at a real good price so I guess I'm gonna just live with what I can get, if not going well maybe I need to replace the cpu with a sempron instead.
